INFINITY CITY and SHUGAKUSO

An equipment partnership

INFINITY CITY (IFC) has established an equipment partnership with SHUGAKUSO, one of Hokkaido’s leading outdoor retailers. As IFC’s equipment supply partner, SHUGAKUSO supports procurement and product advice, helping us develop the equipment selection available to visitors skiing and riding in Hokkaido.

Equipment knowledge rooted in Hokkaido

Founded in Sapporo in 1955, SHUGAKUSO began by making tents and backpacks. It has grown into a specialist retailer for mountaineering, skiing and other outdoor activities, offering product advice, guidance on use and after-sales repairs.

This practical experience is why IFC values the partnership. Choosing rental equipment means understanding its design and considering how it will serve different customers through repeated use. SHUGAKUSO’s product knowledge supports our purchasing and equipment selection.

Technical clothing available to rent

Through its partnership with SHUGAKUSO, IFC offers ARC’TERYX technical jackets as part of its rental range, giving visitors clothing options to suit their itinerary and needs.

We consider protection, freedom of movement and room for underlying layers. In-store fitting lets customers check sizing and comfort, while clear product guidance explains the intended use. Suitability for the person wearing the jacket is part of our selection standard, alongside its brand and performance.

From product selection to collection

SHUGAKUSO supports procurement and product advice; IFC prepares equipment for each customer in store. We consider experience, body measurements and intended terrain when helping customers choose a setup, then check boot fit, binding compatibility and necessary adjustments at collection.

Inspection and maintenance remain part of our daily work after equipment is returned. For IFC, the partnership’s value lies in informed selection, suitable setups and equipment kept in good condition. We want customers to leave our Sapporo store knowing what they have chosen and how to use it.
